Reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC)

Help us Save our Scottish Homes from RAAC and Ruin

What does RAAC mean to residents.:

  • Home Insurance may not cover you if RAAC confirmed in home.
  • Homeowners are in limbo and can’t sell their homes.
  • No one can get a mortgage on our homes.
  • Neither the local council or government will give help

The possible worst case scenario is the loss off the whole community with compulsory purchase orders at a very low price and demolition of many hundreds of our homes..

We have worked hard to make our houses our homes and build our communities.

The Courier launches campaign to support RAAC Homeowners

With Raac also found in Angus properties, The Courier is calling on all levels of government to come

Dundee is now at the centre of the Raac crisis in Scotland.

Nearly 900 homeowners and social housing tenants living under roofs built with a substandard and potentially dangerous concrete.

It’s a nightmare situation, putting folk in a vulnerable position through no fault of their own.

Homeowners worry they could lose the place they live, their property values are plummeting and they are unable to sell.

Bankruptcy and homelessness fears are on the rise.

Most people can’t afford the thousands of pounds needed to carry out the repairs and remove the defective material.

These people are Trapped by Raac.
